The AAI foundation (www.stichtingaai.nl) looks for homes for abandoned dogs from southern Europe, and collaborates with these 2 shelters. By careful screening AAI tries to match the right owner to the right dog. AAI has been doing this since 1994, and became a foundation in 1997. If necessary, after adoption, AAI will arrange for the re-homing of one of their dogs, to avoid, for instance, the dog ending up in a Dutch shelter.
